Timothy W. Gaffney has been a freelance sports reporter for the Torrington Register Citizen since 1999.
Mr. Gaffney is the creator and host of the Litchfield County Sports program on WAPJ F.M. in Torrington and started the show in September of 2009.
The show airs live on Monday's, between 5:30-6:00 p.m. at 89.9 or 105.1 F.M.
He created the popular "Celebrating Excellence" series that features a deserving sports figure from the Litchfield County or surrounding area.
Mr. Gaffney has also written pieces that have been featured in "Good News About Torrington", a weekly Register Citizen publication. Along with doing work for the Register, Mr. Gaffney has been writing a weekly sports section in the Avon News Weekly since November of 2009.
Mr. Gaffney owns Market Edge Writers, a Student Profile business and has been helping students get noticed by colleges or universities for the past four years.
